Mary Gilliam is a free-lance development and nonprofit management consultant. Her clients represent a variety of industries including education, healthcare, faith-based endeavors, and community development. Since 2001, she has raised over 97 million dollars for her clients. Mary specializes in Strategic Planning, Long and Short-range Fund Development Planning, Grants Research and Writing, Operational Development and Grants Management.
Mary earned an MBA degree from The Executive MBA Program at Tulane University in 1989. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and has won numerous awards for her professional and civic work. Prior to entering the nonprofit profession, Mary worked in corporations for 30 years. Past positions include Marketing Director of Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, LA, Marketing Director for Regions Bank of Southern Louisiana, and work in the energy industry. Mary was named Woman of the Year in 1988 by the New Orleans Business and Professional Women. She has been married to her husband Nick since 1996 and now lives in Georgetown, SC.
